The Delaware Township Trustees will be holding a special meeting on Thursday June 11,2020 at 8:30 am to discuss the potential purchase of real estate.
Delaware Township has been awarded a $3500.00 grant from the state Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing as a part of the 2020 Cemetery Grant Program. The funds will support maintenance projects in Mount Blanchard Cemetery over the next year. The Delaware Township, Hancock County, went online with Checkbook with the Treasurer of the State of Ohio along with 2 other Townships to be the first Townships in Hancock County to join and publicize their checkbook activity. This happened in 2016 after Roger Heyman took over as Fiscal Officer.
The audit ending December 31, 2016 (Roger Heyman’s first year as Fiscal Officer) improved since prior year audits so the Township was able to get an Agreed Upon Procedures instead of a full blown audit for the years ending December 31, 2018 and 2017 and the Auditor of State’s office found no exceptions.
